31st MXG innovates through 3D printing
A Display Management Switch (DMS) knob for an F-16 Fighting Falcon sidestick is 3D printed at Aviano Air Base, Italy, June 14, 2022. Four sections within the 31st Maintenance Group had the idea to 3D print a Display Management Switch knob for an F-16 Fighting Falcon sidestick, ultimately turning a $131.90 job into a 10 cent job and saving 30 man-hours per knob replacement.
