Aviano Airman dies, cause under investigation

An Airman assigned to the 31st Fighter Wing at Aviano Air Base, Italy, died on June 4th  at approximately 9:30 PM.

The cause of death is currently under investigation. 

 

“As a base and a community we are saddened to hear about this terrible loss ,” said Brig. Gen. Jason E. Bailey, 31st FW commander. “We extend our heartfelt sympathies, condolences and support to the Airman’s family, friends and co-workers.” 

 

The 31st FW’s priority is to provide support for those affected by this death.

 

The Airman’s name will not be released until 24 hours after the next-of-kin notification.
