Overseas Housing Allowance survey
The Overseas Housing Allowance and Maintenance survey is now available until March 31. Every year the Allowances Branch of Defense Travel Management Office conducts a survey to find out how much Service members spent in the previous year for utilities. To complete the survey, click here.

WHM luncheon, March 31
The Women's History Month committee will host a free luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the La Bella Vista Club. Guest speakers will talk about success stories highlighting this year's theme, "Weaving the Stories of Women's Lives." Seating is limited. Enlisted All Call, April 3
The 31st Fighter Wing command chief will host a mandatory all-call, at the mass briefing facility. Participants can attend the 8 a.m. or 2 p.m. brief. For more information, call Tech. Sgt. Nicole Hunter at 632-4709.

Mandatory SAPR training, April 2, 17
The Aviano Sexual Assault Prevention and Response office will host mandatory training from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on April 2 and from 2:30 to 4 p.m. o April 17 at the Mass Briefing Facility. 

Warrior Easter, April 5
The Aviano Base Chapel will host a free barbeque for single and unaccompanied Airmen and Department of Defense civilians from 5 to 7 p.m. at Area D. There will be a shuttle service available for dormitory and lodging residents departing the Airman and Family Readiness Center at 4:45 p.m. The event will include an Easter egg hunt, prizes and outdoor activities. The Exchange, Commissary closure, April 6
The Exchange and the Commissary will close due to the Easter holiday.

Childbirth class, April 8, 15
The Aviano Labor and Delivery Unit will host childbirth classes from 3 to 5 p.m. at the 31st Medical Group Multi-Service Unit conference room. Participants will learn about the labor process, coping mechanisms, postpartum period and infant care. For more information or to sign up, call the Women's Health Clinic at 632-5863.

Italian aerobatic team rehearsal, April 10
An Italian aerobatic team rehearsal will begin at 10:15 a.m. over Aviano Air Base. The team, Frecce Tricolori, will perform for 30-40 minutes. For best visibility, attendees are recommended to sit on the north side of the flightline. 

SAAPM events, April 10, 24, 29 
The Sexual Assault and Prevention Month committee will host various events throughout the month.

-April 10: An outdoor movie night at 7 p.m. at the Dragon Fitness Center showing "Back to the Future." Refreshments will be served. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
-April 29: A fun run beginning at 7 a.m. at the Fitness Assessment Cell. Squadrons can create teams with no more than 15 people, booths will be set up throughout the course to provide Sexual Assault Prevention and Response information that can count toward two of three mandatory small group modules for annual training. Space is limited for 10 teams.
-April 24: A Lunch and Learn from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Chapel Annex. Lunch is not provided. Attendees will view and discuss a film centered around media influences on sexuality.

AFA elections, April 10
The Air Force Association will host their annual elections at 3 p.m. at the La Bella Vista Club. For more information, email Master Sgt. Shaun Spencer at shaun.spencer@us.af.mil.

Holocaust Remembrance Week events, April 12-19
The Holocaust Remembrance Week committee will host various events throughout the week.

-April 13: A luncheon with a guest speaker from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the La Bella Vista Club.
-April 14: "Life is Beautiful" at 3 p.m. and "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" at 7 p.m.
-April 15: A 6K beginning at 7 a.m. starting at the Fitness Assignment Cell and a candle light vigil beginning at 7 p.m.
-April 16: "Memory of the Camps" at noon.

There will also be an informational booth displayed in the Exchange throughout the week

Eight-step problem-solving course, April 17
The 31st Force Support Squadron manpower office will host a problem-solving course from 8 a.m. to noon at building 933. The training course is designed to cultivate an innovative, critical thinking culture to help with day-to-day work area problems. The course is open to all base personnel. Alcohol awareness obstacle 5K, April 17
Aviano Against Drunk Driving will host a free alcohol awareness obstacle 5K beginning at 7 a.m. at the fitness assessment cell. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. For more information, call Staff Sgt. Meagen Olah at 632-2216.

ACS meeting, April 17
The Aviano Community Support group will host a meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. The goal of ACS is to keep members and families resilient through relationship enhancement workshops, single-member events and family events. For more information, contact Sonya Meier at 632-5407.

AFAF golf tournament, April 18
The Air Force Assistance Fund will host a 4-person golf scramble at 8 a.m. at the Alpine Gold Course. The tournament is limited to 16 teams. For more information, call Tech. Sgt. Brian Fenton at 632-2216.

Space-A brief, April 24
The 724th Air Mobility Squadron will host a Space-Available briefing at 10 a.m. at the Aviano Passenger Terminal on Area F. AMS personnel will provide tips and tools needed to ensure seamless and stress-free Space-A travel. For more information, contact Aviano Passenger Terminal at 632-7680.

Other Notable Information

Easter services
The Aviano Base Chapel will host multiple Easter services throughout the week.

-April 2: A Holy Thursday Mass will be held at the Italian Air Force Chapel beginning at 5:30 p.m.
-April 3: A Good Friday Mass will be held at the Italian Air Force Chapel beginning at 5:30 p.m.
-April 4: An Easter Vigil Mass will be held at 9 a.m. at the Area 1 Chapel and at 11 a.m. the Italian Air Force Chapel.
-April 5: An Easter Sunrise Service will be held at 6 a.m. at an off base location and at 10:30 a.m. at the Area 1 Chapel.

For all services at the Area 1 Chapel, there will be a shuttle service available for dormitory and lodging residents at 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. The shuttle leaves from the Airman and Family Readiness Center parking lot.  For more information, call 632-5211.  

No heat, no cool season
The 31st Civil Engineer Squadron is now conducting their transition into no-heat and no-cool season, heating systems throughout the base will be shut down to prepare the air-conditioning systems for the summer. For more information or to report a problem, call the CE customer service desk at 632-5636.  

Red Cross instructors
The Aviano Red Cross is looking for first aid, CPR and automated external defibrillation instructors to teach upcoming classes. Instructors must complete the new volunteer orientation, Red Cross specific FA, CPR and AED certification and must go through an interview process with the Health and Safety chair. Head swim coach needed
The Aviano Sea Dragons is looking for a new head coach for the upcoming swim season between July and February. For more information, e-mail avianoseadragons@gmail.com.
