 TASI Tax payment
Service members are now required to pay a Tassa Servizi Indivisibili tax for services provided by the city, such as street lighting and cleaning. Landlords will provide tenants with a bill, which must be paid for at an Italian post office. For more information, call the housing office at 632-2272. 

Wing quarterly awards, promotion ceremony, Oct. 31
The 31st Fighter Wing will host a combined quarterly award and monthly promotion ceremony at 3 p.m. at the PAHA. Attendees are reminded to be in place by 2:45 p.m.
Fall Fest, Nov. 1
The 31st Force Support Squadron will host a Fall Festival all day on Area 1. There will be food booths, carnival games, outdoor movies and a free haunted house. For more information, call Jasleen Randhawa at 632-7575 or jasleen.randhawa@us.af.mil.

Car seat checks, Oct. 28
Free children's car seat checks are available by certified technicians from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. every last Tuesday of the month, in the parking lot east of the tennis courts on Area F. For more information or to register, call 632-4817. 

Pharmacy hours change, Nov. 1
Beginning Nov. 1, the 31st Medical Group Outpatient Pharmacy will be open Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The ScriptCenter machine located near the Commissary is available for refill pickup on Mondays through Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The pharmacy is closed on all federal and family down days. No FEAR Act Training, Nov. 15
Federal civilian employees and all supervisors, managers and military supervisors of civilian employees are now required to complete Notification and Federal Employee Antidiscrimination and Retaliation Act training. The training can be completed online through the Advanced Distributed Learning Service on the Air Force Portal webpage, or in-person by the 31st Fighter Wing Equal Opportunity Office. It is intended to inform employees about the rights and remedies available under the Antidiscrimination Laws and Whistleblower Protection Laws applicable to them. Heart Link: Air Force Spouse 101, Nov. 23
The Airman and Family Readiness Center will host a military spouse orientation workshop from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The class is designed for spouses with less than five years of Air Force affiliation. The course will increase awareness of the Air Force mission, customs, traditions, protocols and available resources. Aviano-specific information is included to help participants adapt and understand the Italian culture. For more information or to reserve a spot, call the AFRC at 632-5407.

Red Cross newsletter
The Aviano Red Cross offers several different health and safety classes throughout the month. The Volunteer Corner is a newsletter highlighting Red Cross events monthly. For more information on events, volunteering or to read the newsletter, click here or call 632-5576.

Veterans' Day ceremony, Nov. 10

A Veterans' Day ceremony will take place at 7 a.m. at the 31st Fighter Wing Headquarters building. For more information, call 1st Lt. Eric Boehm at 632-8088 or Master Sgt. Jacob Brodersen at 632-8539.

Daily stamp raffle
The Aviano Post Office will host a daily raffle for the remainder of October to support National Stamp Collecting Month. Prizes include collectible framed stamps, postcards and posters. For more information, call Erin Mirante at 632-3196.  

September Legal Blotter
The 31st Fighter Wing Legal Office blotter is intended to keep members of the Team Aviano community informed of legal actions and associated punishments each month. Those who have information, which may help security forces solve a crime or prevent a criminal act, should contact the law enforcement desk at 632-7200 or 0434-30-7200. Thrift shop
The Aviano Thrift Shop, run by the Aviano Community of Enlisted Spouses, is open Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursdays from 1 to 5 p.m. located on Area 2 in the Red Cross building. The thrift shop is manned by volunteers and new helpers are always welcomed and needed. Donations and consignments are always accepted. Aviano Cub Scout Den registration
Registration is still open for boys to join the Aviano Cub Scout Den. Age groups start as early as first grade. For more information, email avianocubs@gmail.com.

The Aviano Community of Enlisted Spouses offers ten $500 scholarships each year to dependent spouses and adult dependent children living with their sponsor. For more information and application deadlines, visit www.acesinaviano.org, Facebook, or email acesscholarships@gmail.com.

Veterinary clinic
Due to U.S. Army Public Health Command policy changes to veterinary clinics, the Aviano Veterinary Clinic will be implementing the following changes:

- The facility will be closed on Thursdays effective Nov. 1.
- There will be no surgical appointments available for privately owned animals in the month of November.
- Effectively immediately, fees are increased for inventory items, wellness exams and health certificates.
- There will now be a $35 fee added to client invoices as an unpaid debt incurred for all last minute appointment cancellations (less than 24 hour notice), or for no-show appointments. These unpaid debts will remain on client accounts and prevent future appointments from being scheduled until the debt is paid.

MFLC Lunch and Learn presentations
The Military and Family Life Consultants will host a series of Lunch and Learn presentations on various topics from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. For a complete lists of presentation dates and topics, click here.

Visitor pass requests
Members looking to request extended-access for family and friends to enter the base must contact the Large Vehicle Inspection Station at 632-6175 or by email at 31sfs.s3og@us.af.mil. Extended base passes can take up to 4 weeks to process and approve, so the sooner information is submitted, the better.  Base passes for up to 3 days can be issued at the Visitor Control Center, South Gate, Gate 9, with proper identification.

Mental health clinic support
The 31st Medical Group Mental Health Clinic provides individualized support for groups and individuals, marital therapy, parenting skills, stress management and substance abuse counseling. Counselors can also provide a variety of support for issues such as traumatic stress, anxiety, sleep problems and depression. Airman's Attic hours
The Airman's Attic will now be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Area 2. Volunteers can sign up by clicking here. For more information on the Airman's Attic, click here or find them on Facebook here.

Aviano Against Drunk Driving
AADD provides a safe ride home for military members, dependents and civilian employees who have been drinking. For AADD services, call 0434-30-2233 on Fridays and Saturdays between midnight and 4 a.m.

Space-A travel
Personnel desiring leisure travel to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, or Baltimore will need to be at the Aviano Passenger Terminal for the Space-A Roll Call at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday mornings. For more information, call 632-7680 or click here.

Emergency contact number change
The commercial number for emergencies is now 0434-30-1911. For emergencies on base, dial 911 or 112. To contact off base medical services, call 118. To contact fire services, call 115 and to contact local police, call 113.

Volunteering at Aviano
Anyone interested in volunteering on- or off-base can click here for more information. Users must have Internet Explorer version 9 or higher installed. First-time users should register on the site as an individual and organization points-of-contact should register as their organization. For help using the site, access the "How-To" videos. Off-base recycling
Team Aviano members are reminded to comply with important Italian recycling laws while living in Italy. To view English versions of each community's recycling handbook and calendar, click here. For additional assistance with understanding a community's recycle program or to set up an appointment at a local city dump for disposal of large bulky items, contact 632-2511.
