MFLC Lunch and Learn presentations
The Military and Family Life Consultants will host a series of Lunch and Learn presentations on various topics from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. For a complete lists of presentation dates and topics, click here.
A&FRC alternate entrance during painting
The Airman and Family Readiness Center will be re-painted Aug. 25 through Sept. 25. During this time, customers are asked to use a designated, alternate entrance and exit for the duration of the project. For more information, call Staff Sgt. Luz Rodriguez at 632-5407.
Sports physicals, Aug. 19, 22
The 31st Medical Group will host their bi-annual sports physical event for children, ages 5 to 18 years old, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Pediatric Clinic on Area 1. Each child must have a parent present for the exam. For more information, or to sign up, call 632-5000.

AFSA meeting, Aug. 19
The Aviano Air Force Sergeants Association will host a meeting at 3 p.m. at the La Bella Vista Club. This month's guest speaker, Senior Master Sgt. Michael Nurse, will discuss career progression. For more information, call Master Sgt. Regina Dockens at 632-8923.
HHM meeting, Aug. 19

Aviano Top III Association meeting, Aug. 21
The Aviano Top III Association will host its monthly membership meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the La Bella Vista Club. Lunch will start at 11:30 a.m. followed by the official meeting at noon. Free finger food will be available. The Top III will conduct annual elections for members interested in joining the executive council. For more information on the election, contact Master Sgt. Dormitory barbeque and sports day, Aug. 22
Single Airmen Staying Strong and the Aviano Top III Association will host a free barbeque and sports day from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. between dormitory 1428 and 1422. Games will include a 3 vs. 3 basketball tournament, a corn-hole tournament and volleyball. This event will be considered an alternate duty location and all Airmen are encouraged to attend. Aviano Girl Scouts, Aug. 23
The Aviano Girl Scouts will host an information booth from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the Exchange. Information on new youth registrations as well as volunteer opportunities for adults will be available. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Women's Equality Day voter registration, Aug. 26
The Women's Equality Day committee will host voter registration assistance to eligible voters from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the base theater. Free food and refreshments will be available. Jump Start cancelation, Aug. 25
Jump Start hosted in the Wing Safety classroom will be cancelled. Personnel will still be able to obtain AFI license by attending Right Start on Sept. 23 or 30 at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. For more information, contact the safety office at 632-4817
AADD elections, Aug. 27
The Aviano Against Drunk Driving council will host their annual elections at the chapel conference room at 3 p.m. There are ten positions available for eligible Airmen to apply for. Heart Link: Air Force Spouse 101, Aug. 28
The Airman and Family Readiness Center will host a military spouse orientation workshop from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The class is designed for spouses with less than five years of Air Force affiliation. The course will increase awareness of the Air Force mission, customs, traditions, protocols, and available resources. Air Force Ball emcee, national anthem tryouts, Aug. 29
Emcee and national anthem singer tryouts for the 2014 Air Force Ball will take place from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the La Bella Vista Club. For more information, call Tech. Sgt. Brad Koch at 632-8009 or Airman 1st Class Andrew Copland at 632-7064.
Del Toro 5K combat challenge, Aug. 29
The 4th Annual Del Toro 5k combat challenge will begin at 7:30 a.m. with pre-registration at 7 a.m. in front of the fitness assessment cell on area F. Tickets are $15 per person and t-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. All proceeds will go to the TacP Association. Post office shipping appointments
The post office offers individual appointments every weekday, Monday through Friday, at 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. Additionally, all members who are shipping personal and household effects in connection with a PCS, TDY or deployment are reminded to include one copy of official orders within each parcel. Satellite vehicle registration station, now open
The satellite vehicle registration station at the vehicle inspection tent on Area F is now open for renewals only. The station will be open from noon to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Team Aviano members are encouraged to utilize the satellite station to help alleviate congestion and delays at the main service window in the Consolidated Support Center.
July Legal Blotter
The 31st Fighter Wing Legal Office blotter is intended to keep members of the Team Aviano community informed of legal actions and associated punishments each month. Those who have information, which may help security forces solve a crime or prevent a criminal act, should contact the law enforcement desk at 632-7200 or 0434-30-7200. Veterinary foster program
The Aviano Veterinary Treatment Facility offers active duty military members who are scheduled for long-term TDYs or deployments the option to place their pets in temporary foster care with a designated family. To take part in the program or to volunteer to become a foster-care provider, visit the VTF at Bldg. 1410 on Area F or call 632-8485.
Red Cross classes, newsletter
The Aviano Red Cross offers several different health and safety classes throughout the month. The Volunteer Corner is a newsletter highlighting Red Cross events monthly. For more information on events or to read the newsletter, click here or call 632-5576.
Aviano Against Drunk Driving
AADD provides a safe ride home for military members, dependents and civilian employees who have been drinking. For AADD services, call 0434-30-2233 on Fridays and Saturdays between midnight and 4 a.m.
Women, Infants and Children Overseas is a supplemental nutrition program that provides eligible overseas beneficiaries with nutritional education and tips on how to prepare a balanced diet, health screenings and nutritious foods that contribute to a healthier diet. WIC provides benefits to eligible pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to the age of 5. For more information or to determine eligibility, call 632-7473.
Aviano Master's Swim Team
The Aviano Master's Swim Team hosts workouts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6 to 7 a.m. at the Area 1 pool. All swim levels are welcome. For more information, contact Staff Sgt. Jose Mangrobang at email@example.com.
Family Advocacy programs
Strength-based therapy is available by appointment for individuals, couples and families. For information and registration, call 632-5667. Upcoming programs include:
- New Parent Support Program for expectant parents
- Anger Management walk-ins on Wednesdays from 9 to 10 a.m.
- Wee Ones Playgroup walk-ins on Thursdays from 10:30 to noon
- Boot Camp for New Dads on Sept. 2 from 5 to 7 p.m.
- Baby Basic Training for expectant parents on Aug 5 and 7
Personnel desiring leisure travel to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, or Baltimore will need to be at the Aviano Passenger Terminal for the Space-A Roll Call at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday mornings. For more information, call 632-7680 or click here.
Emergency contact number change
The commercial number for emergencies is now 0434-30-1911. For emergencies on base, dial 911 or 112. To contact off base medical services, call 118. To contact fire services, call 115 and to contact local police, call 113.
Soggiorno permit notice
The Soggiorno Office will be open during the summer months with limited service. Now through August 31 the Questura will not be on base for Soggiorno processing or pick-up. For more information, call 632-4802 or 4806.
Volunteering at Aviano
Anyone interested in volunteering on- or off-base can click here for more information. Users must have Internet Explorer version 9 or higher installed. First-time users should register on the site as an individual and organization points-of-contact should register as their organization. For help using the site, access the "How-To" videos.
