Air Force Ball photographers
The Air Force Ball committee is seeking volunteer photographers for the Air Force Ball, Sept. 26. Volunteers will receive a free ticket. For more information contact Staff Sgt. Ieschia Ross at 632-7333, Tech Sgt. Robert Stevens at 632-8002 or Staff Sgt. Joshua Snider at 632-7257.

LVIS Gate no left-turn reminder
Team Aviano members are reminded to refrain from turning left into the Large Vehicle Inspection Station gate when entering base. Making a left hand turn at this location violates Italian traffic laws as well as creates unexpected traffic congestion resulting in potential safety concerns for motorists. Remembrance ceremony, Sept. 11
The Aviano fire department will host a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at 3:50 p.m. at the fire station located on Area F. For more information, call Tech. Sgt. Glenn Rodgers at 632-5381.

Munitions stockpile inventory, Sept. 6-12
The 31st Munitions Squadron will host a semi-annual stockpile inventory. The warehouse will be closed and customer support or turn-ins will be restricted to documented emergency issues only. AFRC deployed family luau, Sept. 19
The Airman and Family Readiness Center will host a deployed family luau at 4 p.m. The event will have free food, drinks, children activities and prizes. For more information, call 632-5407.

POW/MIA week, Sept. 22-27
The Aviano Air Force Sergeants Association will host this year's POW/MIA remembrance week. Various events will be held around base to honor and recognize current and past prisoners of war and those missing in action. For more information and a complete list of events, click here.

Safety symposium, Sept. 23
The Single Airmen Staying Strong committee will hosts a safety symposium beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the La Bella Vista Club. The event will feature special guests from security forces, legal, crime prevention and anti-terrorism to inform members about protecting yourself, property and family. Technology expo, Sept. 25
The 31st Communications Squadron will host a free technology expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the La Bella Vista Club. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with industry partners, assess technology capabilities from leading industry experts and experience hands-on demonstrations of the latest technology. Jump Start correction, Sept. 25
A previously cancelled Jump Start class will be held during regularly scheduled dates and times in the 31st Fighter Wing Safety classroom. For more information, contact the safety office at 632-4817.

Volunteers for the Bella Befana Bazaar, Oct 3-5
The Aviano Civilian and Officer Spouses' Club will host this year's 47th Bella Befana Bazaar. The committee is looking for volunteers to help with a variety of tasks throughout the weekend. For more information, e-mail Brandy Walker at bbbvolunteer14@gmail.com.

Family Advocacy programs
Strength-based therapy is available by appointment for individuals, couples and families. All classes are held on Area 1 in the Bldg. 108 conference room unless otherwise noted. For information and registration, call 632-5667. Upcoming programs include:

- Anger Management: Wednesdays until Oct. 1 from 3 to 4 p.m.
- Boot Camp for New Dads: Sept. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m.
- Love and Logic Parenting, ages 0-6: Monday and Wednesday for the first three weeks in September from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m.
- Four Lenses for Couples: First three Thursdays of each month from 2 to 4 p.m.
- Mindfully Managing Stress for women during pregnancy: Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at Health Promotions, previously the Health and Wellness Center.

Other Notable Information

Passenger terminal construction
The 724th Air Mobility Squadron Passenger Terminal will undergo renovations now through December 1. Parking is not affected and signs are provided to help direct customers to the temporary entrance/exit during this time. For more information, click here.

August Legal Blotter
The 31st Fighter Wing Legal Office blotter is intended to keep members of the Team Aviano community informed of legal actions and associated punishments each month. Those who have information, which may help security forces solve a crime or prevent a criminal act, should contact the law enforcement desk at 632-7200 or 0434-30-7200. Flightline, Area 1 Express update hours
The Flightline Express, commonly known as the Shoppette, is now open Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Express/4 Seasons on Area 1 is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call Susana Sobrino at 632-5471.

ALS "Ice Bucket Challenge"

Per the Department of Defense, service members are not to perform the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis "Ice Bucket Challenge" in uniform or use their military affiliation for endorsement. For more information, call the Public Affairs office at 632-7555.

Pet spa appointments
The Aviano Veterinary Clinic is offering pet spa appointments throughout September. Services provided during the appointment will include teeth cleaning, nail trimming, ear cleaning and more. Appointments are limited. To schedule an appointment or for more information, call 632-8485.

MFLC Lunch and Learn presentations
The Military and Family Life Consultants will host a series of Lunch and Learn presentations on various topics from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. For a complete lists of presentation dates and topics, click here.

AFRC alternate entrance during painting
The Airman and Family Readiness Center will be re-painted Aug. 25 through Sept. 25. During this time, customers are asked to use a designated, alternate entrance and exit for the duration of the project. For more information, call Staff Sgt. Luz Rodriguez at 632-5407.

Post office shipping appointments
The post office offers individual appointments every weekday, Monday through Friday, at 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. Additionally, all members who are shipping personal and household effects in connection with a PCS, TDY or deployment are reminded to include one copy of official orders within each parcel. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 632-3196.

Veterinary foster program
The Aviano Veterinary Treatment Facility offers active duty military members who are scheduled for long-term TDYs or deployments the option to place their pets in temporary foster care with a designated family. To take part in the program or to volunteer to become a foster-care provider, visit the VTF at Bldg. 1410 on Area F or call 632-8485.

Aviano Against Drunk Driving
AADD provides a safe ride home for military members, dependents and civilian employees who have been drinking. For AADD services, call 0434-30-2233 on Fridays and Saturdays between midnight and 4 a.m.

Space-A travel
Personnel desiring leisure travel to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, or Baltimore will need to be at the Aviano Passenger Terminal for the Space-A Roll Call at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday mornings. For more information, call 632-7680 or click here.

Emergency contact number change
The commercial number for emergencies is now 0434-30-1911. For emergencies on base, dial 911 or 112. To contact off base medical services, call 118. To contact fire services, call 115 and to contact local police, call 113.

Volunteering at Aviano
Anyone interested in volunteering on- or off-base can click here for more information. Users must have Internet Explorer version 9 or higher installed. First-time users should register on the site as an individual and organization points-of-contact should register as their organization. For help using the site, access the "How-To" videos. Off-base recycling
Team Aviano members are reminded to comply with important Italian recycling laws while living in Italy. To view English versions of each community's recycling handbook and calendar, click here. For additional assistance with understanding a community's recycle program or to set up an appointment at a local city dump for disposal of large bulky items, contact 632-2511.
