Commercial rotator schedule change
Beginning the first week of March, the weekly commercial rotator schedule will shift one day earlier. Personnel desiring leisure travel to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, or Baltimore will need to be at the Aviano Passenger Terminal for the Space-A Roll Call at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday mornings. School registration, March 18-19, 25-26
Registration for new kindergarten and first-grade students will take place at the Aviano Elementary School office from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., March 18 and 19. Registration for all returning students in any grade will take place at the Aviano Elementary School gym from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., March 25 and 26. Registration for the school year as well bus transportation is mandatory every year. ACES breast cancer awareness walk and 5k, March 8
The Aviano Community Enlisted Spouses will host a breast cancer awareness walk and 5k event beginning in Area D and continuing through the streets of Aviano. Registration takes place from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and the event will begin at 9:45 a.m. with a memory walk. Registration costs $20 with a souvenir t-shirt or $10 without. Women's History Month events, March

Prime Rib Dinner, March 5
The La Bella Vista Club will host a Prime Rib Dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. The dinner costs $11 for members, $14 for non-members, $5 for children of members, $8 for children of non-members and free for children five and younger. St. Patty's Day Airman's meal, March 7
The La Dolce Vita Dining Facility will host their monthly First Friday for the Airmen featuring a St. Patty's Day Airman's meal from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call 632-8206.
"Dress to Impress" fun run, March 7
The Women's History Month Committee will host a free "Dress to Impress" fun run at 7 a.m. at the Dragon Fitness Center. Registration will take place from 6:30 to 7 a.m. Individuals are encouraged to show their support by running a 5k in a dress. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers will receive prizes. Basketball tournament, March 8
The Dragon Fitness Center will host a "March Madness" super-draft basketball tournament at 10 a.m. Teams of 3-on-3 will be chosen by random selection. Cost is $10 per person. For more information and to sign up, call 632-7459.
ALS discussion panel, March 11
The Aviano Airman's Advisory Council will host an Airman Leadership School discussion panel from 3 to 4 p.m. at the La Bella Vista Club. GI Bill briefing, March 12

Texas Hold 'Em, March 15
The La Bella Vista Club will host its monthly Texas Hold 'Em at 7 p.m. with registration starting at 6 p.m. The tournament costs $20 for club members and $30 for non-members. The top three monthly finishers from October 2013 to March 2014 are invited to participate in the April 5 championship round with prizes valued at $1000. Dinner theater, March 15
The Aviano Community Theater will host a performance of "Xanadu" and a catered dinner event at the Aviano School multi-purpose room. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner will be served at 6 p.m. with the showing beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $45 a person or $320 for a table of eight. Childcare will be provided by donations. Accessing Higher Education workshop, March 17-18
The education office will host a two-day workshop each month to better prepare separating and retiring service members to become college students. Those interested in attending March's workshop must register no later than March 12 and walk-ins are not permitted. Prior attendance to the five-day Transition Assistance Program is mandatory. Sexual Assault Awareness Month contest, March 21
For Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office is holding an AFN commercial spot contest. Anyone can participate in the contest. Those under the age of 18 must have a release statement signed by a parent or legal guardian. The commercial needs to be 29 seconds long, tasteful and submitted to the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator's office in Bldg. 220 on Area 2 by March 21. The winner will have their commercial aired on AFN Aviano for the month of April. Aviano Community Theater meeting, March 24
The Aviano Community Theater will host a meeting at 6 p.m. in the multi-purpose room on Area 1. The meeting will discuss their upcoming musical in May, a show-tuned themed cabaret night. Aviano Youth Programs Open Recreation, March 30

Other Notable Information
Community center now open Sundays
The community center is now open on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center offers a cyber café, billiards room, free wireless internet, a gaming corner, ballroom with a stage and a small conference room. For more information, call 632-5479.
AFAA Courses at the Dragon Fitness Center
The Dragon Fitness Center now offers Aerobics & Fitness Association of America certification classes. If there are a limited amount of people registered, the classes will be cancelled. The list of certification classes and prices are as followed:
March 24: Kid's Club from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for $50
March 24: Stroller Exercise from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for $50

Italian Mensa lunch
The Italian Mensa is open to all of Team Aviano from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. during week days in Bldg. 1467, behind the Housing Office on Area F. The Mensa offers a weekly rotating menu of pasta, seafood, chicken, beef, soup, risotto and more. On Mondays and Fridays they offer equal dollar for euro pricing. Updated pharmacy prices for pay-patients
Pharmacy prices at the 31st Medical Group have been updated for paying patients. To assist patients in determining their pharmaceutical costs, the Pharmacy Pricing Estimator (PPE) is available for download at http://www.tricare.mil/ocfo/mcfs/ubo/mhs_rates/pharmacy.cfm. PLAYpass program discontinued

Team Aviano members are reminded to comply with important Italian recycling laws while living in Italy. Wee Ones play group
Wee Ones is a weekly play group for children up to 18 months old and is held Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon in Bldg. 108. The Wee Ones conference room is equipped with play mats, soft play equipment and baby toys. For more information, call 632-5667.
Anger, stress management class
The Aviano Family Advocacy office hosts anger and stress management classes for service members and civilians wanting to understand and cope with life's stresses in a healthy and productive way. Classes are held every Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. in Bldg. 108 in Area 1.
Aviano Against Drunk Driving
AADD provides a safe ride home for military members, dependents and civilian employees who have been drinking. For AADD services, call 0434-30-2233 on Fridays and Saturdays between midnight and 4 a.m.
Eagle Radio on FM 106.0
Tune in to FM 106.0 at 7 a.m. Wednesdays to hear the 31st Fighter Wing commander, command chief and other senior leaders talk live about what's going on in the wing and Air Force.
The La Bella Vista Club's lounge will continue to be open on Sunday evenings from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., the food menu available 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Markos is still serving breakfast every Monday through Friday from 7 to 10 a.m. and offers breakfast burritos, sandwiches, muffins and more. For more information, call 632-4303.
A benefits counselor with the Department of Veterans Affairs is available to take appointments until April. Counselors assist service members who are retiring or separating from the military as well as clients who need information and assistance with VA benefits and services.
