This belief is what encouraged 31st Maintenance Group leadership to create the Airman 4 Life program, which aims to teach Airmen important life skills to prepare them for life outside of the military - whether that be at the end of a four to six year enlistment, or retirement 20 years down the road.

  • 731st MUNS conducts Waking Giant

    The 731st Munitions Squadron assigned to the 31st Maintenance Group, Aviano Air Base, Italy, and located at Camp Darby, Italy, conducted in exercise Waking Giant, Oct. 7, 2020. The exercise involved the entire squadron and simulated a contingency environment in U.S. Air Forces in Europe.
  • Leo Cinquemani celebrates 50 years at Aviano

    The Cinquemani family has been a part of the U.S. partnership with Italy since World War II, fighting and working side by side with their American counterparts. Leo Cinquemani will retire on December 31, 2020, and take a piece of Aviano’s legacy with him.
  • 31st FW Airmen meet with Bulgarian students

    While supporting NATO’s enhanced Air Policing mission, 31st Fighter Wing Airmen gave 35 students from First English Language School in Sofia, Bulgaria, a U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon tour at Graf Ignatievo Air Base, Oct. 2, 2020. During the event, Aviano Airmen taught students about what it’s like to serve as a pilot and maintain the F-16s.
