  • 31 LRS meets AK21 supply, demand

  • 31st FW Airmen meet with Bulgarian students

    While supporting NATO’s enhanced Air Policing mission, 31st Fighter Wing Airmen gave 35 students from First English Language School in Sofia, Bulgaria, a U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon tour at Graf Ignatievo Air Base, Oct. 2, 2020. During the event, Aviano Airmen taught students about what it’s like to serve as a pilot and maintain the F-16s.

  • Increased Ops Across Aviano AB

    The heat isn’t the only thing rising as summer grows closer. Aviano AB will be experiencing a rise in people, aircraft and possibly noise as exercises begin to kick off. This year’s exercises will demonstrate the agile interoperability of air, land, and sea capabilities of multiple NATO allies in order to defend key terrain throughout Europe.
  • Top it off: US, Hellenic air forces practice in-flight refueling

    A KC-135 Stratotanker, from the Arizona Air National Guard’s 161st Air Refueling Wing, joined F-16 Fighting Falcons from Aviano Air Base, Italy, and the Hellenic air force to perform in-flight refueling operations during a flying training deployment, Jan. 20 to Feb. 3, 2017, at Souda Bay, Greece.
