INTERNATIONAL SOS (ISOS) TELEPHONIC LANGUAGE ASSISTANCE SERVICE

The service is available 24/7 and provided to TRICARE Prime beneficiaries requiring language assistance in the purchased care sector. The service must be activated by the beneficiary.

DIRECTIONS TO PORDENONE HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM (PRONTO SOCCORSO) - VIA MONTEREALE #24 — 33170

Exit the Gate and drive towards Pordenone. Drive past Roveredo for 4 and 1/2 miles to the T-intersection and turn right (the Paradiso restaurant is on your right). Drive 1 mile to the round-about. (Palazzetti Fire Place shop is on your left.) Drive straight for 800 feet to the next traffic light – this is the main entrance to the Hospital. The Emergency Room is located on your left. Report to TRIAGE immediately. Park your vehicle in the parking lots or residential areas located in the vicinity of the Hospital.

DRIVERS
Drop the patient off at the ER entrance, then park your vehicle in the parking lots or residential areas located in the vicinity of the Hospital.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT THE HOSPITAL

  • Immediately report to the triage office to notify staff of your arrival, report your symptoms, reason for the visit, and to register in the ER triage queue.
  • An interpreter may already be at the ER when you arrive. If the interpreter is not present and you are TRICARE Prime, please refer to the top of this page for contact information.

Patient Liaison assistance will be provided according to clinical priority, in order to ensure urgent cases are assisted immediately.  The priority listing is as follows: ER, inpatient, and outpatient appointments.

PRAP PATIENTS:
You must contact the PRAP Clinic immediately at DSN 632-1775 or Comm: 0434-301775 to notify the on-call provider that you are in the Emergency Room and to schedule an appointment with your PCM.

Regular duty hours:

  • Mon/Tue/Wed/Fri from 0730 to 1630
  • Thursday only from 0730 to 1200
  • After regular duty hours, call the PRAP On call mobile at: 335-801-5463
  • Do not take any medications (prescription or over-the-counter) prior to consulting with your provider

LOCAL PHARMACY INFORMATION

General operating hours of Italian Pharmacies are Mon to Sat from 0830-1230 and 1530-1930. There are select pharmacies open until midnight in the local area.

WHAT TO DO WHEN RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL

  1. PICK UP MEDICATIONS:  (All Patients except PRAP)

If the Host Nation ER provider prescribed medications, it is strongly recommended that you proceed to the nearest Italian Pharmacy to purchase your medications. At the Italian Pharmacy, please show your ER report to the Pharmacist—this acts as your prescription. You will be required to make payment in Euro or by credit card. In general, the average cost of the most commonly used medications is 20.00 to 40.00 euro for antibiotics and 10.00 euro for pain-killers.

If you choose to fill your prescription at the 31 MDG in-house Pharmacy, please allow 5 business days for ER report translation, PCM ordering, and Pharmacy processing.
