Aviano Rock Climbers is an organization that focuses its activities out in the mountains, at the beach, or anywhere that nature allows us to convene. We pride ourselves on a laid back philosophy; simply coming out and having a good time with everyone. We aim to increase physical fitness in new and exciting ways, and conquer different challenges that life may present. We are a solid group of people who support and encourage others to try and try again, and no matter the outcome, strive to never give up.

Dedicated to all Aviano Air Base runners and even casual hikers for distances from 5 km to ultra-distance events. Whether you run alone or as a group use this group to share info, find running partners and local trail routes, and attend running event. Pretty much anything to do with running.
We don't have organized runs at the moment but some group members do participate in the weekly non-competitive Volksmarches that take place every Sunday at local towns/villages. The Volksmarches are family and pet friendly. Exploring Friuli by foot is way better than behind the wheel any day!

Facebook Page: Bonsai Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Aviano)
The team is an affiliate under Bonsai/Figo Guam where our head instructor, Ruben Rivas, trained prior to arriving at Aviano Air Base. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art which focuses on grappling and ground fighting. Students learn how to defend themselves against attackers with the use of joint locks and chokeholds. Knowing you have the ability to protect yourselves and your family gives students a level of self-confidence that translates into other aspects of their lives (work, family) and allows to them to continually improve in all aspects of their lives.
There are 5 belts in the promotion system for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which are in order, White, Blue, Purple, Brown, and Black. Each belt has five different levels (stripes) to obtain before moving up to the next belt.
If you have any further questions regarding the classes please let us know. Thank you.

Description: The goal of this group is to create an athletic and aggressive roller derby team. Through roller derby, we strive to improve each member's athletic ability, self-discipline and foster camaraderie in the community. Any individual (ages 18+) can participate. Skating experience is a plus, but not a limiting factor (we will teach you how to skate). Finally, for those people that want to be part of the team and don't want to skate we have non-skating official (NSO) positions. Individuals that support the team by keeping score, managing penalties and performing referee duties during the bouts. Check us out on Facebook at Aviano Roller Derby
