MENTAL HEALTH WELLNESS
CSAF directed his Air Staff and all MAJCOM command teams to assign personnel to a Cross-Functional Team designed to cut bureaucracy and get initiatives directly in front of our AF leaders and tasked for action. Below you will find a link to the DAF press release which has a link at the bottom open to all Airmen and Guardians to submit initiatives that they believe are actionable items that will help remove barriers to Mental Health, Wellness or Resiliency in our force. These will be seen and reviewed at the highest levels of leadership in the Air Force so here is your chance to drive meaningful change.
All the submissions are reviewed before being placed in front of leadership so please refrain from submitting items that are not related to the Sprint or that have already been addressed or are in the process of being evaluated (I.E. Beards….).

FURNISHINGS MANAGEMENT
-Friendly reminder from your FMS Team: Customers are responsible for ensuring all appliances/furniture loaned to you by the Government are properly cared for. This includes regular cleaning of appliances; stoves - after every use, refrigerators - weekly, washers/dryers - filters after every use and rubber seal monthly. This is to prevent staining and odors that cannot be removed. If you would like to learn how to keep your appliances clean please stop by our warehouse for a quick demo.
-If you are taking Leave or going TDY, please ensure you have someone checking on your home regularly. Most home electric panels here in Italy are not equipped to automatically switch your electricity back on after an outage. During the summer months, we replace an average of 10 refrigerators due to electrical outages at a cost of $10K per year. Customers are responsible for ensuring all items loaned to you by the Government are properly cared for.
-PCS season is here, please ensure you clean your appliances at least one day prior to your pick-up appointment. If you don't have time, there are cleaning companies in the local area to assist you. We appreciate your support.

31st MEDICAL GROUP
The 31st MDG is undergoing some changes that may impact some Wyvern Nation members. This change is heavily influenced by the transition to MHS GENESIS and the resulting limited appointment availability. Beginning 1 September, 31st MDG will return to the Defense Health Agency’s space-available care policy. Patients who are empaneled to a Primary Care Manager (PCM) will not be impacted. However, some government civilian, contractor, and retiree population will experience a change in available services. The number one priority is to provide safe and reliable medical care--a healthy PCM-patient relationship includes the ability to manage all aspects of health, including care for chronic conditions, referrals, preventive medicine, and medication management. The inability to assign Space-A patients to a PCM limits the capability to provide the highest caliber of care. Please see the attached documents for more information on this change.
What can you do right now?
• If you are unsure about your beneficiary status, you can call the Tricare office (0434-30-5067) or International SOS (+44-20-8762-8384) to inquire.
• If you are a Tricare Select or Tricare for Life beneficiary, you can opt into the Tricare Plus program to be empaneled to a 31st MDG Primary Care Manager.
• If you are a Space-A patient, you can establish care with an off-base Primary Care Manager. The Tricare office has a list of providers to get you started.
The 31st MDG is currently offering appointments for patients wanting to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine. Appointments are available for patients ages 6 months - 5 years, and patients over the age of 12.
