AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- Firefighters from the 31st Civil Engineer Squadron partnered with Italian first responders to safely remove debris from roadways after heavy thunderstorms passed through Pordenone, Italy, Aug. 10, 2017. Trees and power lines littered the town’s roads, making them dangerous for motorists and pedestrians. The firefighters were dispatched after the community contacted Aviano Air Base for support.
