8/6/2011 - AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- The 31st Fighter Wing Airman pronounced dead at the Pordenone Hospital Aug. 5, 2011 was Airman Florencia Jean-Charles, assigned to the 31st Security Forces Squadron at Aviano Air Base.

"We are deeply saddened by this loss," said Brig. Gen. Scott J. Zobrist, 31st Fighter Wing commander. "My condolences are with the family, friends and many others affected. The Wing is working to provide support and assistance needed during this difficult time."

The cause of death is under investigation by both Italian and American authorities.
