56th Rescue Squadron

Mission – The 56^th Rescue Generation Squadron delivers ready and reliable maintenance to generate Combat Search and Rescue Airpower, sustaining personnel recovery operations and ensuring USAFE-AFAFRICOM’s CSAR capabilities.

Vision – A unified, empowered team-driven by excellence in maintenance, fully committed to personnel recovery, and dedicated to the mission of Returning with Honor.

Personnel – The 56^th Rescue Generation Squadron has 117 members across 7 AFSCs, assigned to 8 different sections to collectively carry out the unit leadership’s priorities of teamwork, mission and culture.

History – Our journey with Rescue hails from the Vietnam War and includes missions in Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, Operation INHERENT RESOLVE and Operation ATLAS GUARDIAN.
