Preemie parent shares story of hope
Two-day-old Olivia Maurice grasps her mother’s finger July 14, 2011 in the neo-natal intensive care unit in Udine, Italy. She was born two months premature weighing 3.5 pounds. There is now a parenting support available for preemie parents and or parents who are taken off base due to after-birth complications. The support group gives parents a chance to share successes, seek and provide advice, and support any future parents in the Aviano community that will be faced with a premature birth.
