Aviano becomes first USAFE base to begin AMT
Lorae Gudgel, A2B Company marking technician, and Senior Airman Rashon Forbes, 31st Logistics Readiness Squadron document control technician, scan a barcode on a weapon for inventory Dec. 17 as part of the new, revolutionary asset marking and tracking system being implemented at Air Force installations around the world. Each piece of equipment is being marked with a unique bar code that, when scanned, will provide the serial number and equipment information, including what the piece of equipment is, what base it belongs to and who it has been signed out to.
