Church Dedication

The townspeople of Forgaria nel Friuli and invited guests fill the San Lorenzo Martire Church for a holy mass Aug. 9, 2009, officiated by Monsignor Pietro Brollo, bishop of Udine. Col. Donald Cole, 31st Medical Group deputy commander, represented the U.S. Air Force. The holy mass marked the end of a 33-year project to rebuild all the churches in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region damaged by the 1976 earthquakes and a new beginning for the townspeople who no longer have to go elsewhere to worship.
