The eyes of the mission
Senior Airman Brittany Compton, 179th Medical Group ophthalmic technician, screens Lt. Col. Greg Sarakatsannis, 510th Fighter Squadron commander, during his annual eye exam July 21, 2009, at the 31st Medical Group’s optometry clinic. People who wear glasses are encouraged to receive an eye exam every year to two years and yearly for contact lens wearers. Airman Compton is temporarily assigned to the 31st MDG from the Ohio Air National Guard as part of her annual training commitment. The optometry clinic’s mission is to provide high quality primary vision care and vision research supporting wartime readiness and visually sustaining combat capability in support of the aerospace mission.
