TRANSIT CENTER AT MANAS, Kyrgyzstan – Staff Sgt. Gregory Bailey and Senior Airman Samuel Wickersham, 376th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron’s petroleum, oil and lubricants Airmen, drain a fuel filter system through a valve to check jet fuel for foreign particles and contaminations at the Transit Center at Manas July 15, 2009. The POL team recently broke refueling records at Manas, after pumping over 10 million gallons. Sergeant Bailey and Airman Wickersham’s duty on a daily basis is to ensure jet fuel meets Air Force specifications by injecting three fuel enhancing chemicals, namely: Fuel System Icing Inhibitor, Corrosion Inhibitor and Static Dissipater Additive.
