Mission Spotlight

Staff Sgt. Andrew Beck, 31st Operations Support Squadron air traffic control watch supervisor, briefs Chief Master Sgt. Jack Johnson Jr., Third Air Force command chief, on a past trip to Aviano on different airfields that Aviano radar controllers vector aircrafts to and from. Sergeant Beck also explained how air traffic controllers maximize the use of airspace to separate A/C from one another, whether it be five miles laterally or 1,000 feet vertically.
