Pest management sprays on the flightline
Tech Sgt. Adrian Pozo-Romero, 31st Civil Engineer Squadron pest management technician, sprays pesticide on weeds on the flightline July 25, 2014, at Aviano Air Base, Italy. Pest technicians are responsible for applying environmentally-friendly chemicals to exterminate weed growth around base, including the flightline. If left untreated, weeds can overgrow and cause damage to asphalt such as cracking and uplifting, posing a foreign object damage hazard to vehicles and aircraft.
