Base, Italian responders join forces to prevent flooding

Master Sgt. Alexander Benedict and Staff Sgt. Lavar Plummer, 31st Civil Engineer Squadron structures NCOIC and craftsmen, cut away a damaged gate out of Ossena Creek, Dec. 26, 2013 near Aviano Air Base, Italy. Plummer and Benedict, who was off-duty when called in, worked alongside Italian emergency responders to ease the flooding of the creek, which was backed up by debris and heavy rainfall.
