Sicily
As one of the larger island north of Sicily, Lipori is renowned for their booming tourist industry, which can attract upward to 20,000 people each summer. Although the rock beaches may be a turn-off for some, the pleasant weather and beautiful scenery often makes up for it. Restaurants line the beaches with family-friendly service and a slow, relaxed mentality that allows you to take in the sunshine and distant volcanoes. (U.S. Air Force photo/2nd lt. Allie Delury)
