Following the theme of Aviano’s Air Force Ball “Stars of Aviano,” the walls of the La Bella Vista Club were lined with the names of previous award winners Sept. 6, 2013, at Aviano Air Base, Italy. Each year, Air Force installations around- the-world celebrate the birth of the Air Force during the month of September with a formal ball that highlights the traditions of the U. S.
