Remembering the past to shape the future
Seven candles burn during the Holocaust Days of Remembrance candlelight vigil, April 15, 2015, at Aviano Air Base, Italy. Six of the candles represented the approximately 6 million Jewish people who died during the Holocaust. The seventh candle honors people of other faiths and ethnicities also murdered during the Holocaust. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Areca T. Wilson/Released)
