Day ‘n night . . . Buzzards fly, train for any fight
The 510th Fighter Squadron ‘Buzzards’ are currently participating in a 14-day nighttime training exercise Aug. 22 to Sept. 2, 2016, at Aviano Air Base, Italy. During the training, Aviano’s F-16 Fighting Falcons will directly support 4th Air Operations Support Squadron joint terminal attack controllers from Grafenwoehr, Germany. Nighttime flying affords Buzzard pilots the opportunity to familiarize themselves with low-altitude, mountainous terrain flying with limited visibility.
