Fuels supply: The science guys
Before fuel is pumped into an aircraft at Aviano Air Base, Italy it’s tested by the 31st Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels laboratory Airmen to ensure it is free of contaminants that could negatively affect an aircraft. The Airmen use equipment that can detect trace amounts of contaminants in fuel and oxygen samples. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Cory W. Bush/Released)
