Local Legend Linda Romanin

This week, we highlight #LocalLegend Ms. Linda Mary Romanin. Linda has worked at Aviano Air Base for 33 years. She started working two temporary positions before being hired full time with MPS. She has been the 31st Fighter Wing Judge Advocate Secretary since 1992. Linda gets to handle the “happy” side of legal. She assists Airmen getting married in Italy by preparing paperwork, making necessary off base appointments, and translating their marriage certificates. She also translates birth certificates for the newest Wyvern Warriors born in Italy. Linda’s family roots are in Italy. She was born in Toronto, Canada, but her family came back to Italy when she was 18. Her favorite childhood meal is her mom's homemade gnocchi with Ragu sauce. Travelling is in her blood. “I love to travel,” she said and hopes in a few years to retire and travel more. She hopes to visit all the American friends she has made over the years.
