Wyvern Warrior - MSgt Herrera

Master Sergeant Jesus Herrera is this week's Wyvern Warrior! As the Flight Safety Division superintendent at Aviano Air Base, Italy, MSgt Herrera is responsible for mishap prevention, investigations and tracking. He's also in charge of the Bird/Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard program and personally rebuilt 12 bird cannons from his home, saving $300,000. A Denver, Colorado native, he arrived at Aviano in September 2016 and has served in the Air Force for the last 19 years. In the future, he wants to finish his master's degree and strives to achieve the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Herrera's personal motto is, "do more of what makes you happy." Keep up the good work MSgt Herrera, your great example sets the tone for the rest of the Aviano team.
