31st Fighter Wing receives “Fox Peter One”
Paul Perron, Aviano Flightline Express manager, donates the book “Fox Peter One” to the 31st Fighter Wing at Aviano Air Base, Italy, July 22, 2020. During Operation Fox Peter One, the wing commander then, Colonel David C. Schilling, won the Air Force Association Trophy, which was later named after him. This movement included the longest over-water flight attempted to that date and was the first trans-Pacific mass flight of jet aircraft. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Ericka A. Woolever)
