31st Fighter Wing begin NATO’s Enhanced Air Policing
A U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon assigned to the 555th Fighter Squadron, Aviano Air Base, Italy, flies over Graf Ignatievo Air Base, Bulgaria, during NATO’s enhanced Air Policing Allied mission, Sept. 28, 2020. One of NATO’s roles is to preserve the integrity of allied airspace. The Triple Nickel’s participation in eAP provided an opportunity for them to demonstrate comprehensive deterrence and defense through joint and combined interoperability.
