31 FW command chief Newman takes his final flights

A 56th Rescue Squadron (RQS) HH-60G Pave Hawk carrying Chief Master Sgt. Jamie Newman, 31st Fighter Wing command chief, takes off at Aviano Air Base, Italy, May 4, 2021. Newman completed his “fini-flight” with the 56 RQS and tandem jumped out of an HH-60 with the 57th RQS pararescumen. Newman is the principal advisor to the commander on matters influencing the readiness and professional development of approximately 4,200 active-duty military members, nearly 300 U.S. civilians and 700 Italian civilian employees.
