A U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon assigned to the 510th Fighter Squadron, takes off at Aviano Air Base, Italy, Nov. 30, 2021. The mission of the 31st Fighter Wing is to deter through safe, secure, effective operations to win the current fight and be ready to win the next fight. The F-16 is able to fly more than 500 miles, deliver its weapons with superior accuracy, defend itself against enemy aircraft, and return to its starting point.
