56th RQS helicopter returns from deployment
U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 724th Air Mobility Squadron unload an HH-60G Pave Hawk that was deployed with the 56th Rescue Squadron, at Aviano Air Base, Italy, Feb. 9, 2022. The primary mission of the HH-60G is to conduct day or night personnel recovery operations into hostile environments to recover isolated personnel during war. The 56th RQS integrates with the Guardian Angels weapon system and other special forces to support insertion, extraction and recovery of both U.S. and allied combatants.
