724th AMS Conducts Dignified Transfer of Suspected WWII Remains

TU.S. Air Force Airmen secure nine caskets containing remains of unidentified service members in a C-130 Hercules at Aviano Air Base, June 27, 2022Suspected to be from WW2, the remains were located at the Florence American Cemetery. The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency coordinated the transfer of remains to forensic labs for DNA collection of the service member to help notify the families.
