Vicini Americani Program unites Aviano AB Wyverns with local community

U.S. Air Force service members, dependents, GS employees, local nationals, retirees, and local middle and high school teachers and faculty sit in a restaurant to network near Aviano, 2022. Vicini Americani’s English Teaching Program is comprised of a wide variety of volunteers, with no teaching credentials required, who help local summer camps, middle and high schools teach English. VAP, a purely volunteer-based organization at Aviano AB, it is made up of Americans and Italians. The intent of the organization is to create and strengthen connections between Americans and their local Italian communities through volunteer opportunities and social events, while helping to ease the transition to life overseas.(Courtesy Photo)
