A U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon assigned to the 555th Fighter Squadron from the 31st Fighter Wing, Aviano Air Base, Italy, takes off at Royal Air Force Base Lakenheath, United Kingdom, Aug. 24, 2022, in preparation for the Royal Air Force’s Cobra Warrior 2022 exercise. The F-16C pilots conducted the training to familiarize themselves with the local area prior to CW22. The partnerships created through recurring training events, like Cobra Warrior, better support NATO’s ability to employ a strategic force in theater whenever called upon.
