Day of Remembrance

A memorial is displayed in Pordenone, Italy, during the Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism memorial ceremony, May 9, 2024. Debris from the twin towers was added to the memorial in 2002 in honor of the firefighters who perished during rescue operations. Next to the memorial, a plaque is dedicated to Caporal Maggiore Capo Gaetano Tucillo, who was killed by a bomb explosion while driving a military vehicle in the Farah district, Afghanistan, July 2, 2011.
