Aviano Local Legend; Ghada Abumuhor
Ghada Abumuhor, 31st Operational Medical Readiness Squadron (OMRS) administrative assistant, is this month’s Local Legend. Abumuhor is originally from Bethlehem, Palestine, and has worked at Aviano Air Base since April 2018.
In her short amount of time here, Abumuhor has contributed a great deal to team Aviano. She started in the 31st Force Support Squadron civilian personnel office, but eventually transitioned to the Comprehensive Operational Medicine for Battle Ready Airmen (COBRA) Clinic. Abumuhor manages the front desk and helps schedule and check-in patients for sick call, optometry, and physical therapy appointments.
The COBRA Clinic offers a variety of treatments for Airmen who can walk-in and start care the same day.
“Aviano AB is always looking for innovations and an example is the project of the COBRA Clinic, where we work on the prevention of injuries of our active duty Airmen so they can fulfill their mission in the best way,” said Abumuhor.
She said her favorite thing about her job is working face-to-face with people and seeing individuals walkout of the clinic happy and satisfied.
As a mother of three, Abumuhor said she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family. She hopes to eventually go back to the United States to visit her extended family
.
It is great having you on the team, Ghada. We appreciate all that you have done, and all that you continue to do!
