Airmen’s Bash offers fun-filled activities Published Oct. 27, 2010 By Staff Sgt. Julius Delos Reyes 31st Fighter Wing Public Affairs AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- The Aviano Air Force Sergeants Association hosts the annual Airmen's Bash Nov. 6 for senior airmen and below and their families. There will be 3-on-3 basketball and 5-on-5 volleyball tournaments from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m at the Dragon Fitness Center. A Halo and/or Madden tournament begins 2:30 p.m, followed by a Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament from 3 to 8 p.m. at La Bella Vista Club. "The Airman's Bash is all about celebrating the sacrifice and support of our Airmen and their families," said Senior Airman Marilyn Ballester, 31st Logistics Readiness Squadron logistics planner and AFSA Airmen's activities representative. "This is our way to give back to them." The bash will feature fun-filled activities and free food for all. Participants could win prizes, such as an iPod, vouchers to cosmic bowling, gift cards and more. Kid-friendly activities are also available including a cake walk competition, bouncy castle, potato sack race and bean bag toss. "Airmen's morale is important because this leads to Airmen doing their best in their job and essentially leads to the success of the Air Force," Airman Ballester said.
