I oversee all maintenance for Aviano's vehicle fleet. What's one thing you've learned about Italy's history, people and culture? The Italians are very proud and knowledgeable about their history and no matter what life throws at them, they keep a positive attitude. What's one advantage of being stationed overseas? Getting the chance to immerse yourself in a culture that most people can only experience on a short vacation. The experience you gain through learning another culture is priceless. What's your favorite European destination and why? I'd have to say Rome. To think that I walked the same streets that great historical figures walked, such as the Apostle Paul and Julius Caesar, is awesome. Also, the way landmarks like the coliseum are preserved is incredible.
