Actor and comedian Sinbad visited Aviano June 22 as part of his "Funny to the Corps" tour. This Armed Forces Entertainment tour with Sinbad and rhythm and blues aritist Paige Bryan kicked off June 10 in the United Kindom.

Sinbad and Bryan signed autographs at the Base Exchange during lunch and preformed at the La Bella Vista Club that evening. Approximately 200 Aviano community members watched the show.

Sinbad said performing for the armed forces is an experience that is close to his heart because he used to be in the service.

"For me, it's always cool because I was in the Air Force," Sinbad said. "I was a crazy person in the Air Force, but I was in the Air Force. So for me, I know what it's like. I used to go to every show at the Recreation Center, and I would bug the entertainers. So, people at home still care about you. People know about the military but they don't really know. They don't know what it's like to have a husband, a wife or a child go away."

Since the tour started, Sinbad has made appearances in four countries and there are still stops in Italy and Spain to follow. For more information, visit www.armedforcesentertainment.com.
