How do you support the 31st Fighter Wing mission? The Client Support Team is responsible for all secure and non-secure voice and data systems and services employed across the 31st FW and it's 19 geographically separated units. My directive is to ensure that connectivity is safe, secure and reliable, and done with the utmost professionalism and defense of the tax payer dollar. I'm also the wingman for Monica Castillo in the Airman and Family Readiness Center, using synergies greater than the sum of our efforts alone to make the Air Force better every day.

What's one thing you've learned about Italy's history, people and culture? It's rich and beautiful and so diverse from my own humble beginnings back in Texas.

What's one advantage of being stationed overseas? The opportunity to travel and experience different cultures and connect with people building lasting relationships.

What's your favorite European destination and why? London is my favorite place in the world. I just came back with the family. Monica and I found it very lively and full of history ... there was never a dull moment.

Why I nominated Sergeant Castillo as one of Aviano's finest? Sergeant Castillo epitomizes the cutting-edge reality of cyber wingman. He has a tremendous depth of technical experience and the human empathy to make all those around him better. He is an inexhaustible volunteer and his work centers have enjoyed continuous excellence in Quality Assurance and Headquarter level inspections. He puts in a tremendous amount of time and we wanted to recognize his commitment to the Air Force, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, the 31st FW, and his wonderful bride and our lead key spouse, Monica. The number of compliments and thanks we get with him on the team is immeasurable.
