American Red Cross recognizes volunteers

The annual American Red Cross Volunteer Recognition was held April 5 at the New Ristopizza in Aviano.

Susan Hoffman, American Red Cross Station Chair, recognized the efforts of the adult and youth volunteers. Each volunteer who attended the luncheon received a certificate and a pin for the number of years they have volunteered.

In addition, many volunteers received the President's Volunteer Service Award. There are three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold depending on number of volunteer hours in a twelve-month period. For the Bronze, Adults must contribute 100 to 249 hours; young adults 15 to 24 years old contribute 100-174 hours and youth 5 to 14 years old volunteer 50 to 74 hours.
