The base is actively preparing for Tech. Sgt. Adam K. Ginett's memorial service and will provide more details when available.

A memorial service for Col. Adrian Poné will be held Jan. 25 at the Duomo di Aviano from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Following the service, a reception will be held in the parish fellowship hall next to the duomo. All are invited to attend.

For base personnel only, additional information with transportation and child care services will be sent via email.  If you wish to send flowers for Colonel Poné's memorial service, please send them to Duomo di Aviano at:

Sergeant Ginett died Jan. 19 near Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 31st Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal flight.

Colonel Poné, who was stationed at Poggio Renatico, Italy, was a former 510th Fighter Squadron commander among other positions held here. He was killed in a traffic accident on his way to work Jan 20.
