An active duty member returned home from a club to find substantial fire damage to his home. It was determined this individual left candles burning while enjoying the evening with friends at a local establishment. It's never a good idea to leave flammable items unattended. You could find yourself losing household goods that can never be replaced or suffering a substantial financial set back attempting to replace damaged items. If you are not sure if you have insurance, now is the time to find out!

An active duty member reported their wallet was stolen while at an off-base establishment. The purse contained two checkbooks, I-Pod, 240 euro, $110, credit cards, AFI Driver's License, Stateside Drivers License, Codice Fiscale and two Military ID Cards. This person only stepped away from their vehicle for five minutes and unfortunately became a victim. A lot of important information was stolen especially two Military ID Cards which gives someone access to the Base. We see this time after time...SECURE YOUR BELONGINGS!!!

During the past couple of days while conducting routine facility checks security forces have been finding multiple government facilities left unsecured. We cannot stress enough; secure your facilities when leaving for the evening or for an extended period of time. Securing your building deters theft of government property and keeps unauthorized individuals from gaining access to sensitive government resources.
