AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy – This week’s Wyvern Fighter of the Week is U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Nia Campbell, 31st Communications Squadron cyber requirements technician! This Sacramento, California native has been part of Wyvern Nation for one year and four months. During her time at Aviano, she has accomplished many things in support of the Wing Operations Center (WOC). Campbell hit the ground running and has dedicated more than 20 hours to the planning and setup stages of the WOC, finalizing it in just three months. Her efforts enabled the project to be completed four months ahead of schedule. Additionally, Campbell undertook a temporary duty assignment at Larissa Air Base, Greece, where she completed initial site surveys and documented photos of every building and its rooms for future planning. She also began the development of technical solutions. Campbell attributes her mother as being her inspiration and hero through the years. She said one hardship she’s faced is single parenting as an active-duty Airman. However, through her hardship Campbell learned she has a good support system and having her son was a defining moment in her life. Keep up the fantastic work, Campbell! We’re proud to call you one of our own!
