AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- National Poison Prevention Week is March 20 - 26, 2016. According to the National Poison Prevention Week council, the majority of non-fatal poison incidents are children younger than six years old. Team Aviano members are reminded to safely store cleaning and medical supplies and to educate themselves on proper emergency actions. Parents can install child safety locks on cabinets, keep chemicals up high and out of sight, and store all medicine in the original child-safe containers. For emergency situations, call 118 off base and 911 on base.
