AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- U.S. Air Force pilots with the 555th Fighter Squadron and Tactical Air Controller Party members with the 2nd Air Support Operations Squadron participated in a training exercise Jan. 29, 2015 in Longarone, Italy. The scenario included surface-to-air threats in which TACPs provided pilots with simulated enemy coordinates from austere locations. TACP's provide attack aircraft information for close air support missions.
