Buzzards depart for Red Flag 16-1

U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 510th Fighter Squadron departed Aviano Air Base, Italy, Jan. 21, 2016, for Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., to participate in exercise Red Flag 16-1. The three-month exercise provides pilots with essential combat training, while affording maintainers from the 31st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron opportunities to ensure the Buzzards stay mission ready.
