AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- U.S. Air Force and Italian air traffic controllers from the 31st Operations Support Squadron monitor Aviano's air space and track all aircraft, direct air traffic and identify potential threats. Additionally, air traffic control Airmen work around the clock with their Italian counterparts to coordinate operations across Italy and beyond.
