Firefighters inform Team Aviano on 'Hear the beep where you sleep'

AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy --  The 31st Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department hosted Fire Prevention Week Oct. 5-10. The weeklong events promoted safety precautions to help prevent fires. This year's theme was "Hear the beep where you sleep." The week kicked off with free food and an information tent, and a visit by Sparky to the library for toddler reading. Teams then competed in a fire combat challenge with obstacles that simulate challenges firefighters may experience while on the job. The week concluded with a safety trailer displays and a Fire Department open house.
