Aviano's home fuels office now offers online bill pay for its customers.

Customers can log onto Utility TrakR to make payments instead of driving to the housing office and waiting to be called on.

Two years ago, home fuels started plans to implement online services. Last year, Utility TrakR was created so customers could view their bills, but payments were still made through the office. After progressively improving the billing system, home fuels was ready to provide updated online services.

"Offering this option will be a big convenience to our customers," said Marquita Montgomery, 31st Force Support Squadron home fuels customer service lead. "Online payments allow our customers to save time in their day by not having to visit the office each time."

To make payments, first-time users must create a login using the "First Time User Sign Up Here" tab. Enter the security code found on the home fuels invoice or call the office to complete the sign up.

After signing up, customers create a profile and can then view transaction history and current utility balances. The website also provides a tab option to establish automatic payments.

Along with payment ease, the online system affords home fuels personnel to assist customers with their concerns.

"With less in-office foot traffic, home fuels employees have more time to focus on account research and in- and out-processing [customers]," said Montgomery.

Many customers look forward to the convenience, according to Vince Flores, 31st FSS manpower management analyst.

"My wife and I prefer to pay our bills online because it's more efficient and effective," said Flores. "We personally haven't started using this option, but we are switching over to make our lives just a little bit easier."

According to Montgomery, service members and their families can still pay their bills in person at the office.
